Principal's Corner

Blackhawk Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Humphreys High School. We are proud to begin the 2025–2026 school year with our exceptional students, dedicated staff, and supportive families.

Dr. Sterling and I are especially pleased to welcome Mr. William Bragg to our administrative team. He brings valuable experience and a strong commitment to student success, and we are excited for the energy and support he will bring to our school community.

At Humphreys High School, we take pride in putting DoDEA’s mission into action… to educate, engage, and empower each student to succeed in a dynamic world. Our students consistently rise to high expectations, and our faculty and staff are committed to providing an environment where all students can thrive and reach their full potential.

We offer a strong academic program that includes more than twenty Advanced Placement courses, eight Career and Technical Education pathways, and electives such as Culinary Arts, Health Science, and JROTC. In addition to academics, our students benefit from a wide range of clubs, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities that help them stay involved and connected.

As the home of the mighty Blackhawks, we also take great pride in our school spirit and sense of community. Humphreys High School is a place where students are known, supported, and encouraged to make the most of their high school experience.

We know that our success is built on strong partnerships with families and the military community. We encourage you to stay engaged by joining our School Advisory Council (SAC), participating in the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO), and attending the many events and opportunities offered throughout the year.

It is an honor to serve as your principal, and I look forward to another memorable school year. Please know that my door, and the doors of our entire administrative team, are always open. We welcome your questions, feedback, and collaboration.

Thank you for being a part of the Blackhawk family. Let’s make 2025–2026 our best year yet.

All my best,

Amanda Schwerdt-Johnson
